Accessibility and Usability
The new WCAG 2.0; and usability testing
Donna Smillie, Senior Web Accessibility Consultant, RNIB
Alex Li, Manager, Accessibility
Standards and Policies, SAP Labs and Member, W3C Web Content Working Group
Public services must be
available to all, including people with disabilities and those who find accessing
information on the web hard for whatever reason. Accessibility standards for
the web and testing websites against them have often been hard to understand.
A new version of the global standard WCAG has been a long time in gestation,
but is now on the horizon.
This session will look at the impact that this might make on accessibility and
accessibility testing.
The panellists are one of
the UK's leading foremost authorities on accessibility and accessibility testing
- Donna Smillie of RNIB - and Alex Li, a member of the international working
group tasked with drawing up the new WCAG 2.0 guidelines.
